On, August 25th, Hayes Software Systems partnered with CDW-G on a virtual webinar for CASBO.
School administrators and business leaders from the state of California gathered via Zoom to discuss processes for staff and student device distribution and easy help desk ticket submission. The conversation centered around on managing assets through their entire lifecycle, forecasting upcoming tech refreshes, and sanitizing learning devices before reaching the hands of staff and students.
The conversation was led by Hayes’ very own California regional account managers, Tim Brown, Kristin Burroughs, and Patrick Nguyen. These experts have worked with schools of many different sizes across California, helping school districts to tackle unique needs.
While uncertainty is still lingering and devices are continuously moving, the school districts who joined us are pivoting quickly, adopting best practices to mitigate loss and ensure the safety of staff and students.
“We’re a newer customer, and we came on right as we were distributing technology in the spring… We have been reaping the benefits of having TIPWeb-IT and GetHelp ready to go for this summer distribution,” says Michael Carter, Network Administrator at San Bernardino County Superintendent of Schools.
“One of the things that really helped us out quite a bit was establishing and documenting processes and procedures, roles and responsibilities for different departments and stakeholders in our organization…. The documentation about what people needed to do, how to do it, how to issue and collect was part of our implementation to make sure we understood the backwards and forwards of the processes that we needed to have in place.”
TIPWeb-IT coupled with GetHelp allows school districts to safely distribute and support learning devices, whether schools are virtual, hybrid, or both. If you missed the webinar, don’t worry! We recorded it so that you could still tune in. Check it out!
